“Wrapped up, Tied up, and Tangled up in Jesus!”

Many people do not believe that “fear” is a spirit. But, the Bible says, “For God has not given us the ‘Spirit of Fear,’ but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:7

God has given us the plan to overcome fear… “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear has torment.” I John 4:18

When fear comes in, it brings torment! But, we overcome this fear, through love. When our love for the Lord fills every drop of blood and fills the air we breathe, it wipes out fear completely. Living in Haiti, it would be easy to be caught in fear every day… fear of the gangs. But, when we are consumed by God’s love, there is no room for fear. “Lord, fill us so full of your love, that there is no room for fear or the torment it brings!”

The God who controls the whole world, loves you, more than you will ever know. One black sister in the Lord used to sing this song: “I’m wrapped up, tied up and tangled up, in Jesus!” That’s the answer to fear! Just stay, “wrapped up, tied up and tangled up, in Jesus!”
