Psalm 41:1-3

“Blessed is he that considereth the poor:
the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive;
and he shall blessed upon the earth:
and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing:
thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.”

It was early one morning here in Haiti when Bobby woke up early and decided to use the bush hog to cut some weeds. (Bobby hates weeds!) I didn’t want him to go, but he insisted. About 40 minutes later, the Haitians came running to me, screaming, “Mr. Bobby is hurt! He was run over by the bush hog!” Somehow, they managed to carry Bobby up two flights of stairs to our room at the orphanage. We did not have a medical clinic at that time, and we were far from any doctor or hospital. I looked at him lying on the bed, his body full of broken bones, not knowing if he would live or die. I got my Bible and opened it to these verses, which we have stood on since the day we moved to Haiti. I read them to Bobby and placed the Bible on his chest and began to “hold God to His Word.” We have stood on these verses since the day that God called us to help the poor. God answered! He provided an emergency plane, the best doctors, and the best of care for Bobby in the States. He will do the same for you! Be sure to get our book, “Love is Something You Do.” Sherry
