Beware of your adversary…

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8

We must be wise this day. The devil is our adversary and wants to destroy you and me. He is seeking us to devour us today. Satan moves through people, even sometimes your friends, those whom you may think are the most loyal to you. Jesus looked right at Peter and said these words, “… Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” (Matthew 16:23) There was a spirit behind Peter causing him to say things to Jesus that he should not have said. The Bible says, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
