“If God be for us… who can be against us?” – Romans 8:31
What a powerful thought! I’m sure you have enemies too. Maybe your enemies are “unseen,” like an attack by evil spirits. Some enemies are enemies simply because they are jealous of you. And there are enemies who hate us, and we don’t know why.
Nevertheless, Apostle Paul knew that even though he had enemies, God was still with him. Even though he was beaten with rods three times, stoned, shipwrecked day and night, spent a day and a night in “deep” without the sun, attacked by a poisonous snake, and imprisoned for five years… He made this declaration, “If God be for us, who can be against us?”
It would be easy for us, being missionaries, to fall into fear… especially after people have warned us that the “gangs” will be taking over our area. But we declare “Satan is a liar! He is the father of lies!” And God has given us missionaries the spirit of love, power, and a sound mind!
If God be for “you,” who can be against you? We are all on the winning side! Amen!
