Word from the Mission Field

“My Anchor Still Holds.”

I don’t like boats. It’s just that in my earlier years here in Haiti, we had to take those “Haitian sailboats” over the lake to La Gonâve Island. The boats were small, and there was always a guy whose job was to “bail out the water” as it came in! We have been in those boats with team members in a storm, and to this day, “I don’t like boats!”

But what I do like, is the fact that, when there is a storm, and you have a good anchor, it will hold, “despite the storm!” Hebrews 6:19 declares, “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.”

We ALL go through storms in our lives! We cannot expect to have a “sunny day,” each day. Storms will come. But, we have an “anchor,” Jesus Christ,” and He is the Master of the storm and the “anchor will hold!”

Like you, we have been through many storms, especially here in Haiti… but no matter what the storm, “our anchor still holds!”

Have a great day!!!
