“Don’t Be Afraid of Your Enemies.”
In the Book of 1st Samuel 17, we see David, a young man, who kills Goliath, and wins the favor of all his people and of King Saul. But in the next chapter, Chapter 18:6-10, we see David, again, going out to fight the enemy, the Philistines, and he wins! The ladies began dancing and singing, “Saul hath slayed his thousands, and David, his ten thousands.” When Saul heard this, a spirit of jealousy entered into him… and in Verse 10, from that day forward, “Saul had his eye on David to kill him!”
There are those who are “your enemies,” because of jealousy! But the Lord says to us, the same words He spoke to Ezekiel, “Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads. As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, tough they be a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 3:8-9
