“God is Our Defense!”

If you ever want to “put God to the test,” come to Haiti for about 30 years. You cannot “put God to the test,” with a “visit.” The test comes when “your hands are on the plough,” and “your boots are on the ground!”

He is the Miracle Worker, the Provider, and the Strength that we need. We have been through hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes. We have been through riots and blockades. We have been through threats of gangs and witch doctors! Now, after more than two years of “gangs in the streets,” and kidnapping threats, we have to know God, as our “defense!”

The Embassy has called us twice and told us to leave because they heard of very serious threats of kidnapping. King David said, “Be strong and of a good courage, and do it; fear not nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee.” I Chronicles 28:20

What a wonderful God we serve!
