There is no greater thing than to see a life changed “forever.” My best, most unforgettable story was of Joel, the witch doctor we won to the Lord in Old Letant. I know that I have told his story before, but I can still hear him say, “That old Joel that you knew before, is gone! You will never see him again! This is ‘the new Joel!’” He later told us, “I had been watching your lives for a long time!”
I wondered how “God does it?” How can He change someone like Saul and make him “Paul?” In a moment, the “old man was gone,” replaced be someone we didn’t know! Corinthians 3:10 says that we “have put on the new man.”
The church world has changed. Instead of people running to the altar, kneeling down, confessing their sins, they barely have time to do this before “the next group” comes in. Everything has to be timed down to the minute. We are here to bless the poor and win the lost to Jesus, even if it takes a little more “time.” So, grab your pole and go “fishing” today… for souls.
