“If You’re Stingy with God, He’ll Be Stingy with You!”
God “loves” a cheerful giver! The book of Proverbs gives us so much insight about God and His Word and His love… We know that God loves “cheerful givers,” so, if you don’t really want to give in an offering or bless the poor, if your heart is not in it, it will not return unto you.
Proverbs 11:34 declares, “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth.” How can that be? If you “give away your corn,” is it possible for it to multiply back to you? Indeed! But, the Bible also says, “and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.”
“The liberal soul shall be made fat: (not pounds “on the scale,” but fat “blessings”) and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.” Proverbs 11:25
We have been living and working in Haiti since July 1st, 1991. This we know… “He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him; but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it (or lets it go).”
God always does the impossible and we do what’s possible! We know this one thing… It is impossible to give and not be blessed. When you rise in the morning, be looking for someone to bless! Have a wonderful day!
