Word from the Mission Field

Our Prayer for the Poor in Haiti

We moved to Haiti on July 1st, 1991. We found the Haitian people to be strong, resilient, and always happy, laughing and joking… but the sound of laughter has been replaced with fear and hunger.

Haiti has been suffering at the hands of gangs since before President Moise was assassinated. From that time, the gangs began to take over. The faces of the people are now sad and fearful… children are dying from hunger, and thousands are homeless because the gangs have taken their homes.

My prayer for Haiti is this…

“Again shall be heard in this place, which he said shall be desolate… The voice of joy, and voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, “Praise the Lord of hosts; for the Lord is good; for His mercy endureth forever; and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord…””

Jeremiah 33:11

We want to hear the voice of laughter and praise once again in Haiti. Will you join us in prayer?
