“If I Can Find Just Ten…”

Living in Haiti brings a lot of emotions… When we first moved to Haiti over 30 years ago, it was a “different Haiti.” But, since Facebook, iPhones, etc., life has become “worse for the poor” and “better for the gangs.”

I used to be able to get into my 4-wheel-drive Trooper and go far into the mountains with my interpreter… with no fear.

We have been through riots, floods, and earthquakes… but nothing has come close to what we see now. And the sad thing is “that no one is coming to us.”

I read my Bible in Genesis 18, where God was getting ready to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham stood in the gap, and was negotiating with God, and he said, “If I can find fifty righteous, will you destroy the country?”

Abraham kept on haggling with God… finally, Abraham said, “If I can find just ten, will you destroy the country if there are ten righteous?” God said, “I will not destroy it for ten.”

I know there are “more than ten righteous in Haiti!” Nini, one of our cooks, is one of them, and there are more…

My prayer is that God will send deliverance for Haiti and that He will not destroy it because there are “more than ten righteous,” and they are poor.

Will you pray and agree with us for deliverance for Haiti?
