“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” Isaiah 1:19 — I met Bobby in an old-fashioned tent revival in Orlando, Florida. I was 17 and he was 18. After the service that night, Bobby shook hands with my mother and me. He told my mother, “The Lord showed me that your daughter has a pure heart but he was smart enough not to say, ‘And I’m gonna marry her.’” We were so poor when we got married, we only had $40 to our name, but Bobby would always tell me, “If we be willing and obedient, we will eat the good of the land.” Things seemed to go from bad to worse, for many years, but God’s blessing came upon us when we made the most difficult decision of our lives to move to Haiti. Today, maybe the Lord has told you to do something that you don’t want to do, or maybe it doesn’t make sense but do it anyway. Your blessing is in “your obedience to God.” Have a wonderful day!
