“What is Real Worship?”
I thought I knew what “real worship,” was… You are sitting in church, and you feel the presence of the Lord, and it feels like “warm oil” has been poured on your head. But, I was reading the Book of Job, again… after the devil put Job to the “test,” losing all his substance, his “7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, 500 she asses… a great household,” after losing this, his servants came to tell him that the house fell and collapsed on his seven sons and three daughters. The agony of losing everything God had blessed him with was taken away in one day. And then, I read the scripture that said, “Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell on the ground, and worshiped.” Real worship is not when you have been blessed, real worship is when you have had everything ripped away from you and you can still “lay before the Lord,” and worship. That’s “real worship.”
