“The Divine Favor of God…”

We teach the children here at Love A Child that “God’s divine favor” is worth more than gold! Divine favor can bring you out of a mess! Divine favor can “lift you up above your circumstances” when you need it the most.

The Bible tells us the story of Daniel and the three Hebrew children who were held in captivity by King Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon. He was an evil, hateful ruler who didn’t think twice about killing someone. The King had set a eunuch over these young Hebrew men to “fatten them up” for three years. At this time, they would have had to learn the language and customs of this country, but the King gave a commandment of what foods to serve them. These foods were against their Hebrew teachings.

“Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.” (Daniel 1:9) This means that “Daniel had found favor in his eyes…” The story goes on to say that Daniel asked the eunuch to let the Hebrew children only eat what they were allowed to eat and drink according to the Word of their God. And the eunuch did… he actually disobeyed the King in order to do this. You can read the story of the great miracles that God worked for Daniel and the three Hebrew children… all because of “divine favor.”

You may be in need of something that you have been praying for… a better job, a better house, education for your children, or whatever it may be. This could seem impossible, but with God and His divine favor, “all things are possible!” Someone once said, “An ounce of favor is worth a lifetime of labor.” Pray and ask the Lord for “divine favor” in your life!
