Word from the Mission Field

“Coals of Fire.”

Have you ever had an enemy that you “really wanted to get back at?” Let’s face it. Somewhere in our life, we have all had an enemy. More than likely, some of our enemies have been those who are jealous of us. The book of Proverbs has so many wise sayings. One of them is “How to Get Along With Your Enemy.” It’s found in Proverbs 25:21-22,  it goes like this… “If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For you shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.”

Well, to tell you the truth, after living here in Haiti and being surrounded by gang members, who have kidnapped some of our workers and older Love A Child kids, and for the past month, living with gang members in our area who have threatened our lives, truthfully, I found that this is hard to do sometimes. But I know that God gives us wisdom and grace. Have a great day, we love you.
