“Sometimes We Fight; But Sometimes, We Must Stand in the Gap.”
People cannot understand why we are still working in Haiti. Yes, we left Haiti temporarily, due to some appointments in the States and a Board Meeting. We tried last week to see if we could cross the border from the Dominican Republic to go to Haiti, but the border was closed. We will try again in a few days.
People ask us “Why have we not left Haiti for good?” After all, the gangs have taken over three orphanages on our road, burning them as they stole everything and leaving many homeless.
God has “put something inside us,” that we cannot explain. This is from the Lord, “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none.” Ezekiel 22:30
Bobby and I want to be that person who “stands in the gap for Haiti.” I keep telling them, “There are more than ten righteous,” in Haiti, Lord. Please send help. Sometimes we fight… but sometimes we must “stand in the gap for someone we love.” Never give up!!
