Compassion…
We left Haiti about a week ago to go to the States. It was time for Bobby and me to have our yearly physical. Saturday, Bobby and I were in Florida. We were asked to speak at one of the churches that sponsors our ministry.
It was Saturday and we were busy. I told Bobby I would go to KFC and pick up some chicken and drinks. I just finished paying for two boxes of KFC with drinks and headed to my car. A man came up to me, looking sad. He said, “Would you buy me some food?” I automatically said, “Sure!” We went inside, and the same person, a young man, waited on me again. I asked him to get this man a chicken dinner and a drink, and I would pay for it. I believe he was the manager. He said, “No problem. I will give him a free drink and a discount on the chicken dinner.” The hungry man took his food, thanked me and the manager, and then left on foot.
I felt “so blessed” that God had chosen me to feed him. I John 3:17 says, “But who so hath this world’s goods, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?”
Every day, let’s always be prepared for the Lord to speak to our hearts, so that “He” can use us. Let’s always be prepared, should the Lord speak to our hearts, to be used of Him. Have a blessed day! Let’s all be willing to be used of the Lord!
