“What Have You Given Up?”

Many songs have been written about “following Jesus.” The truth is that “many times” following Jesus may come with a price.

When Bobby got saved and at the age of 16, it “cost him.” He doesn’t mention it a lot, but it was a rough time for him. His real mother had been sent to a “mental institution,” so he was raised by his aunt, who hated the Church and anything to do with Jesus. When Bobby got saved, and healed of a speech impediment, and the Holy Ghost came into his life, he was “changed!”

He went to church, he praised the Lord, and he carried his “big family Bible” wherever he went.

He was kicked out of his aunt’s house, his clothes were thrown outside, and he had to find a job and live on his own.

Following Jesus may “cost you,” but it is worth it!

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Matt.16:24

It’s well worth the price!
