Our Great God…

In 1st Samuel 2:1-8, we see some of Hannah’s prayer. A man named Elkana had two wives… Peninnah and Hannah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had none. It was a great shame for a woman not to have children. You can see the “storm brewing,” as day by day, Peninnah embarrassed and harassed Hannah for not bearing children.

The Bible says that “the Lord shut up Hannah’s womb!” Poor Hannah…

Little did she know that God had chosen her to conceive and bring forth the greatest prophet that ever lived… Samuel!!

Many times, we pray and we feel that God has not answered us… But the answer is there… “wait on Me!”

Yes, God gave her Samuel, and she took him to the temple as soon as he was weaned.

Sometimes, God says “yes.” Sometimes, God says “no,” but many times, He says “wait on Me!” God always answers, and His answer is the best!
