“Four-on-the-Floor.”
Since living here in Haiti, Bobby and I have had a “lot of experiences!” We used to ride mules in the mountains! The mules here in Haiti are not “too friendly,” but we made it! And we used to have to walk long distances up the mountains, in the heat of the sun. (Some of you who are reading this have been on those torturous trips, “walking up the mountains” in the heat of the Haitian sun!) It was rough back then! Now, we have a “four-wheel-drive” that can “climb a coconut tree!” PTL
In the last few years, we have had to travel across the lake, taking food to our Feeding Programs, and sharing God’s love through the Gospel. (I have never liked boats because years ago, I took teams to La Gonaive Island, here in Haiti. It was a long four-hour ride on a Haitian boat, across the lake, with our team, and on the boat, lots of chickens and pigs, and animals, squealing! Saying “yes” to the calling of God demands obedience and faith in God, but it has been our joy to humbly say, “yes!”
Today, you may be asked to do something or give something that is a sacrifice… always be content to say, “yes!!” That would probably be easier than riding a mule “up the mountain!” We “love” our partners!!
