“Sometimes, you can’t help it!”

The story of David “dancing before the Lord” is told in 2 Samuel, chapter 6, beginning with verse 16, “And as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a widow, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart […] And David said unto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord.”

I thought about this and wondered what would happen if a mother had a son who was on drugs and alcohol, and he came to church. How would that mother feel, if her son came to the altar with tears running down his face, wanting to accept Jesus? I think we’d all be “dancing and praising the Lord!” Sometimes, we can’t help it! Have a great day because God is on your side. Sherry
