“Our Hiding Place.”
In the Book of Psalms, David talked a lot about the Lord. Many times, David had to “hide from Saul.” But, he knew that no matter what, the Lord was his “hiding place.” He said, in Psalms 119:114, “Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy Word.”
Many times, we had to “blow the trumpet” at our orphanage and teach the children how to hide under their beds, or any place they could hide from the gangs. They had to put a change of clothes, etc., inside a plastic bag, and kept the bag under their bed, if we heard that gangs were coming! But we also had to teach our orphans that the Lord was our “hiding place.” He watches over us, because He loves us!
Today, if you feel that you are “bogged down” with problems, you are not alone! We all feel that way at some time or another. The important thing to remember is that “the Lord is our hiding place!” We are “covered with His blood and we remain under the shadow of His wings.
