Haitian people believe more in “curses” than they do blessings. Everything that happens to them “bad,” is a curse. Maybe their diet is bad or they have a heart problem and their body starts to swell, they immediately think it is a curse. But when God blesses His people, He blesses them!!!!

In Numbers 22, an evil king, Balak, King of Moab, knows that the Israelites may attack and they are “innumerable!” And, “God is on their side.” So, the king sends for the prophet, Balaam, to come and “curse” the people of God. But, God speaks to Balaam the prophet and tells him not to go with the king and not to curse the people. “And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them, the King of Moab; thou shalt not curse the people for they are blessed.” Numbers 22:12

Bobby was preaching under his large Gospel tent years ago, in MacClenny, Florida. At that time, there were witches and warlocks, in the area and they “hated the Gospel.” They came out to the tent and each one stood at a corner of the tent, crossing their arms, trying to put a spell on Bobby and the congregation.

Finally, it came time for the alter call and then, the offering. Bobby walked around with the offering plate and people were giving, some more, some less. The music was playing and everyone was so happy until Bobby walked by one of the witches who threw dirt into his offering plate. Without even thinking about it, Bobby looked at the witch and said, “You can’t curse this offering because it has already been blessed by God!” They got so mad, they left the tent!

Today, if you are a child of God, you are “blessed!” The only reason for you “not to be blessed,” is if you totally disobey the Lord and don’t repent. If you want to know how blessed you are, read Deuteronomy 28 first. God tells all the blessings that will come upon us if we serve Him. Today, if you love the Lord and serve Him, you are not cursed… You are Blessed!!! Ain’t God good!!!? Sherry
