Now the rest of the story from yesterday morning… I went on my 21 day fast just on water, shut up in the rat shack, killing rats with a broom, which would try to crawl into bed with me at night, trying to pray and believe God… had no money. Sherry would come and visit me for five minutes each day to make sure I was ok. I thought during that 21 days of fasting, praying night and day, I would see visions or have a mighty visitation from God. On the 21st day, Sherry came to pick me up, I was so disappointed and sad, but, yet I believed the Lord. For 21 days nothing happened; I even felt far from God. It seemed like the Lord had left me… I never felt his spirit for 21 days!
That evening, I told Sherry I would sleep in our other small bedroom by myself. In the middle of the night, I was sitting in a chair and the glory of God came and filled the room!! The spirit of the Lord came upon me!
The Lord spoke these words to me… “Bobby, the just shall walk by faith and not by sight…” The Lord taught me not to walk by what I feel, what I can see or touch. We must by faith, not by sight! The Lord told me some more things that night that I cannot share with anyone, not even Sherry, my wife.
Today, believe God, stand on his word. Do not look at your circumstances you are facing today or this week.
For we walk by faith, not our surroundings, believing God in things which cannot be seen…
