“Hey, you have a great pancreas!!”

Have you ever felt useless, that you have nothing to offer? The Devil’s job is to lie to you… “No one would ever miss you,” he can tell you, but everything he says, and everything he has ever said, has been a lie. You cannot believe how valuable you are to the “Body of Christ.” There are people who say, “Bobby and Sherry, we love you… you do such great work in Haiti,” etc. But, we tell them, “It is not us… it is our partners!” The Bible tells us that the “unseen parts” of the body are the most useful.

What would happen if you lost your big toe? You would not have good balance… Yet, no one ever comments to you on “how well your big toe is working!” Or, have you ever heard anyone say, “You have a wonderful pancreas!” Or, “We really appreciate your gallbladder.” No one sees these things; yet, they are all a part of the body that is needful.

Don’t ever feel that the “Body of Christ” could get along without you! We all work together… “And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.” 1 Corinthians 12:21-24.

Whatever part of the “Body of Christ” you serve in, we need you! Your job is so important… It may be “sweeping the church,” or “cleaning the toilets,” or “taking care of the toddlers.” Do your job well, and the Lord will bless you!
