Word from the Mission Field

“A Dry and Thirsty Vessel…”
“So he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.” Jeremiah 18:4

After all that the vessel has been through, the process is still not over. Now, it’s time to be “put on the shelf” for a little while. Before, there were lots of battles and things constantly hitting us, but now, we are put on the shelf to “dry.” Why? I have already been picked over, beaten, and pounded… and now, I have to sit and wait? This vessel still cannot be used. If the potter were to put water in it right now, it would break or collapse. Being thirsty and dry and “not being able to feel God” is part of the process. I remember when Bobby fasted in a rat shack for 21 days on just water. He thought he would see “visions,” and “hear the voice of God!” But, he was in a dry place for 21 days. He could not feel God or see God. He was in a dry place that God had put him… You may be in that “dry place” too… Maybe you cannot feel God’s presence, but hang in there… “Victory is right around the corner!” Sherry
