Years ago, I heard a song sung by the Gullings Family entitled, “God Can Do It Again!” “He’s the same God today as He always has been.”

We are serving a God who never changes. Young Joshua knew that “God could do it again,” when he was about to see God part the rivers of Jordan. The Bible says “That when they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water… That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up a heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down from the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed and were cut off.” Joshua 3:15-16

The waters from 30 miles away, and at the moment, the waters coming down from the salt sea, were cut off… and the waters rose in a heap… “And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan.” Joshua 3:17

Today, the “waters” may be surrounding us but the same God who dried up the Jordan and let the priests and people walk “on dry ground” is the same God that will protest you and me and our feet “on dry ground!” It’s gonna be OK!
