Word from the Mission Field

“God will sustain you…”

“And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.” Joshua 5:12

When God gets ready to lead us in a new direction or face a new obstacle that we have never faced before, He supplies or sustains us. The manna was used to “sustain” the children of Israel for many years through the desert… Each morning, they found it on the ground, but were only allowed to gather what they needed “for that day.”

God wants us to live “one day at a time.” He is still “sustaining us” in all of the things we face until we get to where we are supposed to be; the time of blessings.

Today, with all that we are facing, we have a “sustainable God” who is able to lead us where He wants to go and keep us until He fulfills His Word in us. Jesus said, “Give us this day our daily bread.” We need only to concentrate on today… That is all we have now.

But remember that God is able and willing to bring us through the Red Sea, the River Jordan, and all the enemies and plagues that are against us! Have a good day and trust in the Lord! Sherry
