Word from the Mission Field

I was listening to a song this morning that brought to mind the great Bible story of Jesus and His disciples, in Luke 8:22-25.

Jesus told His disciples that they needed to go over to “the other side of the lake.” (Jesus had a purpose for everything He did.) “But as they sailed, He (Jesus), fell asleep; and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, ‘MasterMaster, we perish. Then He arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

The song said, “The Anchor Holds.” Todaywe all feel that we are in a “storm. It could be a storm of the virus that is sweeping the world, or any other kind of storm. When you are in a storm, and your boat is filled with water, you must always know that “the anchor holds” despite the storm.

Jesus is our only anchor. We must remain in the “boat,” and know that He is the anchor inside the storm!
WE WILL COME THROUGH THIS, TOGETHER, BECAUSE JESUS IS OUR ANCHOR! Sherry
