WALKING BY FAITH…

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

At the beginning of our ministry, the Lord told me to fast and pray for 21 days and nights, just on water. I told Sherry that I had to do this by myself. A lady gave me a little shack to pray and fast in for 21 days. I called it “the rat shack,” because it was cold outside, most of the windows were broken, and the rats were cold too. The rats would come and try to crawl under the covers with me at night. I would pick my broom up and try to kill them.

I thought that during the 21 days of prayer and never going outside, just praying day and night, that I would draw close to the Lord. He felt farther away every day. I thought I would have a vision, a dream, or something supernatural would happen. Nothing happened! I felt farther from the Lord than when I started!

Sherry picked me up at the end of the 21 days and we drove home. I was sitting in a chair by myself in the middle of the night, and all of a sudden, the glory of the Lord filled the room! The Lord began to speak and shared some things, that even today I cannot tell anyone, not even Sherry.

The Lord spoke to me and said, “The just shall walk by faith, not by sight!” Our whole ministry is based today on faith, not by what we see, feel, or touch. We walk by faith, not by sight…

In your life today, don’t walk by your feelings or your surroundings. Walk by faith. Jesus will bring you through and keep every promise he has told you!
