Word from the Mission Field

Nothing pleases God more than faith.

In 2nd Kings 4:8-37 we find the famous words of a poor Shunammite woman, whose “only son,” her young son, had just died. (This is the same child that Elisha told her she was going to give birth to.) The child had just been outside with his father in the field and began crying, “My head! My head!”

He sat on his mother’s lap until noon and then died. This was the “child of the promise,” that God had given her. She sent her servant to the man of God, “Elisha,” but she never said, “tell him my child is dead!” That would be the frantic, normal way of getting this serious message to the man of God. Her first words were, “It shall be well.” And three scriptures later, she is saying, “It is well,” when her child has not even been prayed for yet. You can read this powerful story of a mother’s faith in God in 2 Kings 4:8-37

No matter what you are facing today, you must tell God, “It shall be well,” and begin to praise Him by faith! Now, have a great day because “it shall be well!” Sherry
