“Mother’s Day… A Story of Great Sacrifice.”

“And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi. And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.” Exodus 2:1-2

This was the time when the Pharaoh of Egypt saw that the Egyptians were multiplying and outnumbering they, themselves. She knows that all baby boys will be killed. So she took her baby to the river, put him in a weaved basket and had her daughter watch and see what would happen. You know the story. The baby in the basket was Moses! He led the slaves of Egypt, the people of God through miracle after miracle, to the Promised Land! Today, Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers!
