Bobby and I have lived in Haiti for 23 years and during that time we have seen a lot of missionaries, or so called missionaries come and go. We have come to believe that those who left Haiti were not committed to a “total surrender.” The ones we thought “would make it,” didn’t and the ones we thought wouldn’t, did last! “Without total surrender, a soldier is not useful to the army and a Christian is not useful to God.” — Richard Sterns. The commanding officers tell you what to do, what to say, what to wear, how to think, you no longer belong to yourself, you belong to the army and that is true with the Lord. “For ye are bought with a price…” 1 Corinthians 6 —The one you “belong to,” is able to keep you.
