The King Artaxerxes, king of kings, told the people of Israel to bring gold and silver to offer unto the Lord in Jerusalem… “And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counselors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem. And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all of the province of Babylon, with the free will offering of the people, and of the priest, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem.” Ezra 7: 15 & 16

“When we are giving to the poor we are giving unto God.” Matthew 25:40

During the election, the republicans and democrats spent millions and millions of dollars. One person alone gave Biden $100 million just to run ads in Florida for his election. I’m sure President Trump spent millions of dollars in Florida. Now each party is spending millions in Georgia. The list of giving goes on and on… almost endless. I’m not ashamed to ask God’s people to give to the poor or their church. Let’s start our week off by giving to God!
