“David recovered all.” 1 Samuel 30:19

Has the devil ever robbed you of something? Your job? Your house? Something you loved?

In this chapter, David has returned to his city of Ziklag, and found out that the enemy had come in and burned the city to the ground. They had taken wives and children captive, along with all their flocks, cattle, everything. There was nothing left but ashes.

David prays and the Lord gives him the victory over the enemy. “And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and there was nothing lacking to them.” 1 Samuel 30:18 & 19

Today, God is the God of “restoration.” The Bible tells us in Joel 2:25 that God can restore “what the locust and cankerworm hath eaten away.” Today, this word is for someone reading this right now… God is the God of “restoration.” You may feel like Job, and wonder “why” this happened to you! But remember, God put Job through a test and at the end, God gave him back “twice as much!” God is the God of “restoration!”
