Word from the Mission Field

I will share a story of a little boy named “Nelson” later today. It is the story of how this little boy, as a toddler, had been abused by his Voodoo father. His mother and father sat him in the hot sun, naked, without food and water all day… until one day, God “lifted him up!” His story has such a powerful meaning, that I felt led to share this as a scripture this morning.

Have you ever thought about the Lord, how powerful He is? The same God that can “lift up,” can also “bring down.” I Samuel 2:6: “He killeth and maketh alive; He bringeth down to the grave and bringeth up.” We know that God can “lift up the beggar from the dunghill.” Just look at little Nelson. He is a miracle. God “lifted him up!”

But, in just the same way that “God can lift someone up,” He can bring them down. Just study the life of King Saul and you will see that the Lord can exalt someone into a position, but He can also bring them down. I Samuel 13:14

Because of disobedience, God ripped the kingdom away from King Saul, and gave it to David. Years ago, an old man of God gave Bobby and me some wisdom. He said, “Bobby, in your ministry and in your life, always stay little before the Lord.” God bless you and let’s always “stay little before the Lord.” Have a great day!
