Word from the Mission Field

It seems that nowadays, men’s hearts are full of fear… fear of the changes in the world… some are afraid of other things…

Here in Haiti, everyone is afraid of Voodoo. If someone dies, it is automatically suspected that “someone put a spell on someone.” There is a Creole Proverb that says, “When a Haitian lies down to sleep at night, fear lies down beside him.”

The Word of God tells us, “Who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; And forgettest the Lord thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor…” (Isaiah 51:12-13)

We cannot be afraid of anything. This “big God that we serve” is on our side!

Have a great day and do not fear!
