“Don’t Look Back…”
“…No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62
We have had those who have come to Haiti to help and serve…some of them didn’t realize the meaning of this scripture. There were always those “who kept looking back.” Jesus didn’t say, “those who turned back,” but Jesus said, “you are not fit if you look back!”
In Genesis 19, the story is told of Lot and his family escaping from the city of Sodom. The angels came to warn him that God would destroy the city but that they would save Lot and his family.
“And it came to pass when they had brought them forth abroad, that he (the Angel), said, “Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.” Genesis 19:17 “But his wife looked back and became a pillar of salt.” Genesis 19:26
When God brings you out of something, a job, a bad marriage, or something in your life that has hindered you, “don’t look back!” Keep your eyes on the Lord, but never, never look back! Bobby says, “The best is yet to come!”
