“The Harvest”

Then saith Jesus, “Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” Luke 10:2

Years ago, great missionaries like T.L. Osborne, and many others, preached the Gospel around the world! Thousands came and heard the Word and accepted Jesus. Today, it is so difficult to find those who want to “sell out to Jesus.” We are living in a spoiled generation, who only care about “me and my cell phone.” They have never seen “real poverty,” and have never known what “real hunger is like.” They are the “me” generation, where everything revolves around them!

I believe every high school student should have to spend “two weeks in a third world country,” (without their cell phone) before they can graduate from high school. They should have to serve in any country where the majority only have “one meal a day,” or one meal, “every other day…” where children sleep in mud huts on dirt floors and have to carry five-gallon buckets for miles, looking for water, “before they can graduate.” And, when they come back home, they should have to see those faces in their sleep every night!

All of us cannot go, but all of us can pray! It doesn’t have to be a “long prayer,” but just a simple prayer in the ears of the “Master,” send forth laborers, Lord!
