And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.” Matthew 5:41

In the days of Jesus, the Jewish people were made to carry the heavy load of a Roman soldier if asked, “one mile,” but only one mile. Jesus said, “If someone compels you to carry a load or to go ‘one mile,’ go two miles…”

As Christians, we should go beyond and do more than we are asked sometimes. When we are asked to go a mile, let’s go two miles.

Let’s always be ready to go the extra mile…
