Word from the Mission Field

“Fly into that storm!”

Sometimes it’s hard for us to face a difficult problem or situation. In fact, many people run from their problems or try to hide from them! But that won’t help! That problem, that hurt, that situation, or whatever it is, will not just “go away.”

When Bobby was learning to fly, he had to overcome the fear of flying. He was only IFR rating when he got caught in a horrible storm at night over the Gulf. His instructor had taught him that “when you get in a storm, don’t take your eyes off the instruments. Trust them.” That knowledge saved his life!

Hurricane pilots do not run from a storm. They actually “fly into it” and fly back and forth at an angle. They circle back “and do it again!” The Lord has told us that “when thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” (Isaiah 43:2)

Today, no matter what you are up against, do not run! You must meet the storm dead-on! Fly into that storm, and the Lord will bring you out!!

Blessings,

Sherry
