“Whose Armor Are You Wearing?”
And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.
And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him. 1 Samuel 17:38-39
Bible Scholars say that David’s armor weighed more than David did! David had to put all that armor down and put up his sling and take off after Goliath. Had David kept that armor on, he would have lost the battle and lost his life…and the lives of all God’s army of Israelites. Sometimes, people will come into our lives and try to make us something we cannot be...They will try to put “their armor” on us. When this happens, you will lose the will of God and what He has for you. Always be watchful of the devil’s trap. It may “look good,” and it may “seem like the right thing to do,” but how do you feel about it “in your heart?” If you feel uncomfortable, then “shake it off and let it go!” Jesus said, “my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Have a great, great day!!
