“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23
Here, we see a father, in the midst of a crowd, reaching out to Jesus, for his son. This boy had a “dumb spirit,” meaning he could not talk. He would fall to the ground and foam at the mouth. He was uncontrollable. All this from the time he was very young. The “spirit” would throw the boy into the fire, and into the water, to try to kill him. The father said to Jesus, “If thou will do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” Jesus said, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to them that believeth.” In other words, Jesus was saying, “It’s not a matter of what I can do for you,” it’s a matter of “what can you believe that I can do for you?” Mark 9:23 — The most powerful thing that moves the hand of God, is your FAITH. It is more powerful, even than your TEARS. Have a great day in Jesus. Sherry
