Word from the Mission Field

“The Whirlwind Can Make You Miss the Whisper.”

I have said time and time again, one of the highlights of my life was going to a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting. She was a “different kind” of minister. While some preachers are loud, funny, and boisterous (we love them too), she was quiet and often spoke in a whisper. When ministering to thousands and thousands, she would not let anything distract from the Holy Spirit.

In l Kings 19:11 & 12, God was getting ready to talk to the Prophet Elijah, so the Lord told him, “Go forth and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains (His voice tore the mountains in half down the middle), and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind, an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; And after the fire, a still small voice.”

Never get too busy to listen for the “still small voice.” Sometimes, we are so caught up in the “whirlwind of life,” that we do not stop and “listen with our heart.” Shhh… It is a “still small voice” leading you and showing you what to do. Listen with your heart, and the Lord will show you the best path.
