If the shoe doesn’t fit…
One time, the Lord gave me a dream… We were pastoring a small church at the time, but before this, we had been working in the mission field of Haiti, going back and forth. We loved the church people, but our hearts were aching for Haiti. In my dream, my foot was so, so big, and my shoe was much smaller than my foot! I was trying my best to put my shoe on, pushing, pulling, squeezing, but it would not fit!! All of a sudden, I woke up. The Lord spoke to me and said, “Bobby, the ‘shoe’ is your church. Your large foot is the mission field! I have called you to the missionary field to win thousands of souls and help the sick. That’s why your shoe doesn’t fit. Your vision is too large!” God wanted us “on the mission field!”
Have you ever had business with someone, an employee, or a friend that you loved, but it was not the right fit? You tried your best, but it was not a fit! If the shoe doesn’t fit, move on, and find another shoe! God will get you back on track!
“Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.” (2 Peter 1:10)
