Part two: The rest of the story.
Joseph was brought from the pit into Egypt then sold as a slave into Potiphar’s house. “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man: and he was in the house his master the Egyptian”. Genesis 39: 2
Potiphar saw the wisdom of Joseph and made him ruler over his house and all his affairs in business. “And it came to pass after these things, that has master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, lay with me.” Genesis 39: 7
Then Potiphar threw Joseph into prison… Looked like the end for Joseph again. While in prison Pharaoh had a dream which troubled him. He called for his magicians, all his wise men, and told them his dream. None of them could interpret his dream. Genesis 41:8
Then the chief butler came unto the king I told him of Joseph in prison. Joseph interpreted the dream for the Pharaoh. What happens then? “Then Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See I have set over all the land of Egypt.” Genesis 41: 41
The Pharaoh put a gold chain around his neck, put the kings ring on the finger of Joseph. Made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. Genesis 41: 43 – Plus so much more about the story of Joseph. From being thrown into a pit to being ruler with the Pharaoh of all of Egypt! In this life, many things happen to us. Sometimes it looks like we are at our end. God has a Plan!
