“What’s the Answer to the World Problems?”

Recently, Bobby and I flew to the States for a Love A Child Board Meeting and other important things. While flying back on the plane, I opened my Bible to Mark 12… The Pharisees, the Sadducees, the Herodians, the Scribes were all trying to trick Jesus by questioning Him. It all came down to the “greatest commandments.” These two, if we did them, would handle all the problems of the world. “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength… And Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” Mark 12:30-31 — The Scribe answered Jesus that these two commandments, “were worth more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”  And Jesus told him, “You are not far from the Kingdom of God!” If we all kept just these two commandments, there would be no racial problems, no degrading of our moral values, and there would be no problem in helping the world’s poor. This is the “answer” to our problems. Love God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as much as you do yourself! Think about it! Sherry
