“Beautiful Feet”

Living and working here in Haiti for many years has mostly been “tough,” especially some of our trips to the mountains. I remember once when we were walking through “thick, gooey mud” when it had rained, and how disgusted I was with my dirty feet. Ugly, brown mud was caked on them! There have been times when we have conducted Mobile Medical Clinics that required “walking across several mountains… slipping and falling into that mud again!” Sometimes, what we do for Jesus gets us “dirty”…

Once, when I got really discouraged, the Lord reminded me of Isaiah 52:7… “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, ‘Thy God reigneth.’”

Today, there are less missionaries on the field than ever before… If God has “called you,” don’t say “no.” You might “get your feet dirty,” but “obedience is better than sacrifice…” Have a great day, and remember to pray for missionaries around the world. Sherry
