Word from the Mission Field – 02-14-17

“How thirsty are you?” We have worked in Haiti for many years, and I can remember the day of the greatest thirst in my life. We had to walk for miles up a mountain after riding four-wheel vehicles for four hours. Walking up a mountain in Haiti in the heat of the day is torture, especially when you have run out of water. We were all thirsty, dehydrated and exhausted. We could only think of getting some cold water. We finally reached a river and sat down to cool our feet. Nelio, our Haitian Director, had sent a man with a cooler full of ice, water and Coca Colas! We almost died and went to heaven right then. “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is…” Psalm 63:1 – “Thirst for the living God today.” Sherry
