“How’s That Foundation Coming?”
Thirteen years ago, we built our Love A Child Children’s Home. Bobby made sure it would be big enough for all the children to have plenty of space, because our first orphanage was a rented, small, ugly building, and we hated it. This building would be two stories, one for the girls and one for the boys, which meant a “deep foundation.” The builder told Bobby, “I’m going to make the foundation much deeper and it will cost you much more money, but it will be worth it. If you ever have an earthquake, you’ll thank me.” We did have that “earthquake” here in Haiti! Bobby was on the top floor when the building began to shake and sway, and the floor began to roll like waves of the sea. Then, there was shaking like a dog shakes a rag in its mouth! The next day, Bobby called the man to thank him! “For no other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:11 – Sherry
